Happiest Baby on the Block


I simply love this class!  It is one of the only parenting methods that I think every parent-to-be should learn.

I first learned about Happiest Baby on the Block when I heard the founder, Dr. Harvey Karp, give the keynote address at our international doula conference.  I was a bit skeptical at first, thinking “yeah, right, you’re going to tell me the tried and true recipe for soothing a fussy baby”.  But then he talked about the years of research behind the Happiest Baby model and showed us footage of how the techniques work with actual babies, and I was convinced!


Three years and over one hundred families later, I am even more convinced… HappiestBabyColorLogo 3

I am now a Certified Happiest Baby Educator (CHBE) and offer private, in-home Happiest Baby consultations to families in the Boulder/Denver area, and group classes at Boulder Community Foothills Hospital, Littleton Adventist Hospital, and Belly Bliss in Denver.  The private Happiest Baby consultations are especially helpful, as they cover much of the same information as the group class while also addressing any logistical or spatial issues that may affect your baby’s ability to soothe.

Please note:  I recommend that you take this class while you are pregnant or at the latest before your baby is 6 weeks old, since the techniques are most beneficial in the first few months of your baby’s life.  Please plan accordingly when scheduling a consultation or registering for a class.
